Hello, everyone. This prayer come to me yesterday, straight after taking communion. It was followed by a second, related one, which I will post here tomorrow.

But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, “God, have mercy on me, a sinner” (Luke 18:13).

You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realise that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked (Revelation 3:17).

She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me” (Genesis 16:13).

As always,
I am naked and ashamed before you,
For nothing can ever be concealed
From you.

Please transform me:
Forgive all my sins.

Heal me through and through:
Heart and soul,
Body and mind.

Make just a little more like your beloved Son,
I beg you.

In his dear name,
