Hello, everyone. I’m sorry the fonts on this blog have been coming out unpredictably in different sizes. It might be something to do with the italicised quotes, so I’ll leave them out for now. Today I’m trying a new way of inputting my data, to see if I can stop this problem. If anyone knows either the cause or the answer, it would be wonderful to hear from you.
Today’s prayer goes back to the theme of contemplation. I’ve never really talked to anyone about what I experience, so it will be interesting to see if it strikes a chord with anyone else.
Silence
After praying for others
And myself,
I worship quietly.
Slowly, words dwindle,
Thoughts die away,
And in a silence beyond words,
Far beyond thought,
I enter your presence,
My Lord and my God.
Here, I absorb your light
And your love,
Receive your forgiveness
And your healing,
Drink in your strength
And your peace.
Here, you show me all I need to learn.
Father, my soul is united with yours.
May this moment never end.
You are all that matters.
My heart belongs to you.
My life is in your hands.
Do with me as you will.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
