Hello, everyone. I’ve been working further on yesterday’s prayer, especially as I had time to discuss it with a friend who gave me some helpful feedback. So I thought that just for once, some of you might be interested to compare the latest version with the previous blog entry. See what you think…
Paradise
* But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear (Isaiah 59:2; NIV).
* My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, LORD, I will seek (Psalm 27:8; NIV).
Father,
In the beginning
We talked with you face to face
In paradise.
But when we disobeyed you,
We were banished
From your side.
Since then,
Clouds and thick darkness surround you.
Our sins hide your face from our eyes.
They close your ears to our cries.
Lord, if we turn away from sin
And seek your face,
Will you let us return to paradise?
Will you talk with us face to face again,
Just as you did in the beginning?
