Hello to every reader. God can often seem very far away, especially when we feel ill, distressed, or depressed. Today’s prayer is a cry of supplication for use in these bad times…
God who hides
* Truly, you are a God who hides himself, O God of Israel, the Saviour (Isaiah 45:15; NRSV).
* But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear (Isaiah 59:2; NIV).
* Come near to God and he will come near to you (James 4:8; NIV).
* God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us (Acts 17:27;NIV).
Lord,
Despite my sins,
Don’t hide yourself from me,
For I am less than nothing without you.
I need your love –
Please let me see your light,
And hear your voice again.
