Well, I’m rather worn today after losing so much sleep last night! Today’s prayer is a simple petition asking God to help us practice his presence throughout the day.
Today
As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a female slave look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the LORD our God, till he shows us his mercy (Psalm 123:2; NIV).
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18; NIV).
Father God,
Please help me to keep my eyes
Fixed on you throughout today.
Lord Jesus,
May I never forget your example,
Or turn away from your teaching.
Holy Spirit,
Guide my prayers for others;
Inspire me to gratitude and praise.
Blessed Trinity,
Show me your will,
And help me to carry it out.
Amen.
