Repentance and forgiveness
“Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you” (Acts 13:38; NIV).
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out (Acts 3:19; NIV).
…they should repent and turn to God and demonstrate their repentance by their deeds (Acts 26:20; NIV).
Produce fruit in keeping with repentance (Luke 3:8; NIV).
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:21-2; NIV).
God loves to forgive us –
In fact, he’s waiting to forgive.
Judgemental thoughts,
Harsh words
And selfish deeds –
He’s always ready to forgive our sins,
As soon as we are sorry,
Turn to him, asking his forgiveness,
And start to mend our ways,
Producing fruit
In keeping with repentance.
