Love
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life
(John 3:16; NIV).
He answered, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbour as yourself’ ”
(Luke 10:27; NIV).
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another”
(John 13:34; NIV).
The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love
(Galatians 5:6; NIV).
Father,
We have drifted
Far from the path of love.
We confess that others have suffered
At our hands.
Speak to our hearts,
And let us glimpse your face again.
Help us to turn away from sin,
And back to you.
Forgive and heal us
For the sake of your Son,
Who died to save us.
Help us to follow him
With a glad heart,
Loving and serving him
In everyone we meet.
We ask this in his blessed name,
Amen.
