Reaching out
Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” (John 20:28; NIV).
Come near to God and he will come near to you (James 4:8; NIV).
Slowly,
I leave behind
The bright morning light
Filling my room,
And the incessant chatter
Of my thoughts,
As I reach out to you,
My Father,
My Dear One,
My Lord,
And my God.
How great you are!
