Ill-health
The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised (Job 1:21; NIV).
But those who suffer he delivers in their suffering; he speaks to them in their affliction (Job 36:15; NIV).
…he is not far from any one of us (Acts 17:27; NIV).
The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth (Psalm 145:18; NIV).
Lord,
Please help us
To get to grips
With our own ill-health,
Both physical and mental.
Help us to learn from it,
And to change and grow
Through facing it courageously
With you.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
