…speaking the truth in love we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ (Ephesians 4:15).
How painful are honest words! (Job 6:25).
Lord Jesus,
If I stay silent
In unpleasant situations,
Nothing will change;
But speaking out is stressful,
Risky and disturbing –
So I often make mistakes.
Afterwards, I’m anxious,
And unsure of my ground.
Was I right to be direct,
Or should I have stayed silent?
Lord, please help me
To speak the truth
With confidence and love –
Like you.
