New heart, new spirit
“Lord, I am not worthy to have you come into my home” (Matthew 8:8; NLT).
He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west
(Psalm 103:12; NLT).
“And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins”
(Jeremiah 31:34; NLT).
And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you (Ezekiel 36:26; NLT).
Lord,
I’m not fit to approach you.
Please put my sins
Far behind you,
And forget them forever.
Give me a new heart,
And a new spirit,
So I can worship you
As you deserve.
