Light

Light

God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5; NIV).

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me, will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12; NIV).

God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil (John 3:19; NLT).

Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love (Ephesians 5:1-2; NIV).

Father,
Your light streams out
Into the darkness
Of our world,
But we close our eyes to it,
And turn our backs on you,
Choosing sin and evil,
Rather than your way of love.
