Suffering and joy
Yet man is born to trouble as surely as sparks fly upward (Job 5:7; NIV).
Our days may come to seventy years, or eighty, if our strength endures; yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away (Psalm 90:10; NIV).
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever”
(Revelation 21:4; NLT).
Their hearts will rejoice with everlasting joy (Psalm 22:26; NLT).
Lord,
We know that suffering is inevitable
In this fallen world,
But in heaven it will end at last.
For you will wipe every tear from our eyes,
And there will be no more death,
Or sorrow, or crying, or pain.
Then our hearts
Will sing your praise with joy,
For all eternity!
