Illness
Yet I said to myself, “This is my sickness, and I must endure it” (Jeremiah:10;19; NIV).
Should we accept only good from the hand of God, and never anything bad? (Job 2:10; NLT).
For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow (James 1:3; NLT).
Lord,
When new sickness strikes
On top of chronic ill-health,
As it inevitably will
From time to time,
Please help me to practice
Living by my watchwords –
Patience,
Acceptance,
Endurance;
Rest,
Realism,
And thankfulness.
I ask this
In Jesus’ holy name,
Amen.
