God’s presence
Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord (Psalm 114:7; NLT).
As soon as you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the poplar trees, move quickly, because that will mean the LORD has gone out in front of you (2 Samuel 5:24; NIV).
For I am the LORD your God, who stirs up the sea, causing its waves to roar (Isaiah 51:15; NLT).
The heavens proclaim the glory of God (Psalm 19:1; NLT).
God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them (1 John 4:16; NLT).
Lord,
Your presence fills the earth –
How great you are!
We hear your footsteps
In restless tree-tops,
And glimpse your splendour
In high mountains.
We sense your power
In roaring waves,
And feel your touch
In gentle rain.
We see your glory
In the heavens,
And breathe your perfume
In wild flowers.
We taste your sweetness
In contemplation,
And experience your love
Within our hearts.
Lord,
Your presence fills the earth –
How great you are!
