Like You

So God created human beings in his own image (Genesis 1:27; NT).

Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him (Colossians 3:10; NLT).

Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ (Ephesians 4:15; NLT).

And the Lord – who is the Spirit – makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image (2 Corinthians 3:18; NLT).

But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is (1 John 3:2; NLT).

Put on your new nature, created to be like God – truly righteous and holy (Ephesians 4:24; NLT).

Father,
You created me
To be like you.

Yet my hands are empty,
Whilst yours are full of healing.

My mind is ignorant,
Whilst yours is full of wisdom.

My heart is barren,
Whilst yours is full of love.

And my soul is dark,
Whilst yours is full of light.

Lord,
Please help me to become
A little more like you each day.
