So the LORD must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion (Isaiah 30:18; NLT).
“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends” (Revelation 3:20; NLT).
Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light (Genesis 1:3; NLT).
Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you will not have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life” (John 8:12; NLT).
Lord,
It’s astonishing –
You have to wait
For us to come to you,
And invite you into our hearts!
Then,
You show us your love
And your compassion,
By driving away our darkness,
And flooding our lives with light.
