Sharing

Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done (Luke 22:42; NIV).

All who live in love live in God, and God lives in them (1 John 4:16; NLT).

Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4; NIV).

Father,
I’m not asking you
To take away my pain –
It’s enough to know
You’re sharing it with me.

I’m not asking you
To take away my grief –
It’s enough to know
You’re sharing it with me.

I’m not asking you
To take away my fear –
It’s enough to know
You’re sharing it with me.

I’m not asking you
To take away my life –
It’s enough to know
You’re sharing it with me.

Nor am I asking you
To take away my death –
It’s enough to know
That you’ll share it with me.
