Prayer

Like you

The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised (Job 1:21; NIV).

My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will (Matthew 26:39; NIV).

The Lord – who is the Spirit – makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image (2 Corinthians 3:18; NLT).

It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me (Galatians 2:20; NLT).

Lord,
Help me to face
My suffering patiently,
So I become a little more
Like you.

Lord,
Help me to face
My suffering valiantly,
So I learn to transcend it –
Just like you.
