WHY WOULD HE DO THIS?
Hi, these are ancient, poetic, scriptural images – ways of thinking about and personalising God. I find them beautiful and moving, but I guess they won’t be helpful to everyone equally. Best wishes from Ruth.
They are anthropomorphic
Indeed they are, and that is also what a lot of poetic language about God is. It’s very hard to convey the things I experience during meditation, but it’s important to me to try XXX
