Here and now

The Kingdom of God is already among you (Luke 17:21; NLT).

The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed planted in a field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of garden plants; it grows into a tree, and birds come and make nests in its branches (Matthew 13:31-2; NLT).

The kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17; NLT).

The Kingdom of God
Is here and now –

Not pie in the sky,
Not after our death;

And it’s up to us
To help it grow –

Though offering love
To all, without exception.

  • I feel it here. Yes, I feel the Wind amongst us, rushing along the banks of the Ribble, between our hills set upon this very chapel – the one they have all tried to take from beneath our very feet! What I may have done or not done at Gisburn – more than once now, as it happens – was decided upon by my Faith alone and I will stand by it. I believe in infant baptism without the sign but, make no mistake, it is of secondary importance when put alongside the inner baptism. Many others know that it is the true way but they stand off saying so for fear. There will be no more fear here! This is to be the chapel devoid of any fear in the future! Let other chapelries rely on such if they so wish! That is not to be for here! When you receive the Wind, you will know what baptism it is: a baptism to Life! …Ephata !
