Hello everyone. Much of the news has been bad recently, so today I’m posting a more lighthearted prayer by way of compensation:

The baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God (Luke 1:35; NLT).
You are all one in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:28; NIV).
People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God (Luke 13:29; NIV).
I can never get away from your presence! (Psalm 139:9; NLT).
There is […] one God and Father, who is over all and in all and living through all (Ephesians 4:5-6; NLT).
**********************************************
Son of Man, I am a Quaker
With a pantheistic flavour,
And a subtle Catholic influence
From youth.
I combine your Holy Scripture
With a dash of Celtic mixer,
And The Book of Common Prayer
Thrown in for truth.
I blend Buddhist meditation
With my Christian contemplation,
For both of these are simply
Wordless prayer.
So, rejoicing in your birth,
I pay homage to the earth,
And celebrate your presence
Everywhere.
I love it! It speaks to me as I begin to experience God’s presence with the help of all kinds of writings from many religions and traditions.
I love it that you even use some of the same words to describe yourself in your profile! XXXX
Yes, I recognised the connection too. :D
