Born like us

She gave birth to her first child, a son (Luke 2:7; NLT).

This is my dearly-loved Son, who brings me great joy (Matthew 17:5; NLT).

Then the soldiers nailed him to the cross (Mark 15:24; NLT).

It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have (Luke 24:39; NIV).

The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being (Hebrews 1:3; NIV).

Lord,

You were born like us,
Took your first breath,

And shared your selfless love
With us, on earth.

We celebrate your life,
And bitter death;

Your resurrection;
Your inestimable worth.
