Your timeless womb,

To start our finite lives

Your earth,
Each moment
Brings us closer
To our death,
When we return,
To merge again
With you.
… like the salmon which swim back upstream to the upper reaches of the river and spawn – the life cycle starts over. I don’t know if this makes sense, but it’s what immediately came to mind on reading your prayer-poem. X
