Instead of prayer

You guide me on your way,
Though I can’t touch you.
I simply know you help me
Every day.

Beyond my death, Lord Jesus,
You are waiting
To fold me in your arms,
Where I will stay.

You speak the truth to me,
Though I can’t hear you.
Instead, I sense your voice
In silent prayer.

Beyond my death, Lord Jesus,
You are waiting.
We’ll talk; and I will know
Your loving care.

You are my daily bread,
Though I can’t taste you.
I only know your words
Are wise and true.

Beyond my death, Lord Jesus,
You are waiting,
And then, with joy,
I’ll feast my eyes on you.

You are my light each day,
Though I can’t see you;
I simply trust
That you are always there.

Beyond my death, Lord Jesus,
You are waiting,
Then I’ll gaze upon your face,
Instead of prayer.

Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe (John 20:29; NIV).

I am the good shepherd (John 10:11; NLT).

I am the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6; NLT).

I am the living bread (John 6:51; NLT).

I am the light of the world (John 8:12; NLT).

Now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then we will see face to face (1 Corinthians 13:12; NRSV).

One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord (Psalm 27:4; NIV).
