Indeed it does, though sadly not with my mother, who is now incapable of hearing or understanding. I’d be very surprised if she even knew who I was. Last time I saw her, she didn’t wake at all. The time before, I sat on her bed and spoke honestly to her about forgiveness, but I don’t think she heard or grasped any of it, though you never know… XXXXXX
But she is capable of hearing because that is the very last sense to leave us. She will have heard, Ruth, and even though she may not be capable of responding, the vital thing is your forgiveness and compassion. XXX
