I thought some of you might be interested to see how a prayer can continue to grow, even after I think it’s finished. So here, as a bonus, is yesterday’s blog, with a brand-new, unexpected second half, written this morning:
Come, sit with me
And seek my voice;
Then you will know me,
Come, rest with me
And seek my face;
Then you will share
My peace and grace.
Come, walk with me
And take my hand;
Then you will join
My pilgrim band.
Come, take your cross
And follow me;
Then you will find
You’re truly free.
Come to me all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28; NLT).
Keep on seeking and you will find (Matthew 7:7; NLT).
Your own ears will hear him. (Isaiah 30:21; NLT).
Seek his face always (1 Chronicles 16:11; NIV).
May God give you more and more grace and peace (2 Peter 1:2; NLT).
Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men (Matthew 4:19; NKJV).
If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross daily, and follow me (Luke 9:23; NLT).
If the Son sets you free, you are truly free (John 8:36; NLT).
