Cleanse my heart

You must be compassionate, just as your
Father is compassionate (Luke 6:36; NLT).

Cleanse my heart, Lord,
So that I
May care for you
In those who sigh.

Mend my heart, Lord,
So that I
May comfort you
In those who cry.

Heal my heart, Lord,
So that I
May watch with you
In those who die.

Fill my heart, Lord,
So that I
May be more like you,
Christ, on high.
