Father,
We are nothing without you.
You make us, and you give us life and breath.
You send us joy and sorrow, guilt and shame;
Sickness, health, forgiveness, loss, grief, death.
And, beyond all price, you send your Son
To die for us; you give your Spirit, too,
So we can unite at last, as one,
For truly, we are nothing without you.
