Working on the linked prayers blogged on 6.5.19. and 7.5.19. showed me that seeing God in others, and others seeing God in us, is one and the same, for we are all one in God, and God is one in us.
When I’m with a neighbour
May I recognise
Your presence in us both,
For we are one, Lord, in your eyes.
When I greet a stranger
May I seek and find
Your presence in us both,
For we are one, Lord, in your mind.
When I meet a foreigner
May I understand
Your presence in us both,
For we are one, Lord, in your hand.
When somebody hurts me
May I grasp anew
Your presence in us both,
For we are one, Lord God, in you.
