My way of life

You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence
and the pleasures of living with you forever (Psalm 16:11; NLT).

1. May faith, Lord,
Be my way of life,
And constant thanks
My aim.

2. May hope, Lord,
Be my way of life,
And joyousness
The same.

3. May love, Lord,
Be my way of life,
And serving you
My task.

4. May prayer, Lord,
Be my way of life,
And oneness
All I ask.

References

1. Three things will last forever – faith, hope, and love – and the greatest of these is love (1 Corinthians 13:13; NLT).

My only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me (Acts 20:24; NIV).

2. Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18; NIV).

3. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength [and] love your neighbour as yourself (Mark 12:30-31; NLT).

You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him (Luke 4:8; NLT).

Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all (Mark 9:35; NIV).

4. Whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit (1 Corinthians 6:17; NIV).

Everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with him (Philippians 3:8-9; NLT).

The one thing I ask of the Lord – the thing I seek most – is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord’s perfection and meditating in his Temple (Psalm 27:4; NLT).

I'd love to hear from you...
