Every morning

Each morning and evening they stood before the Lord
to sing songs of thanks and praise to him.
(1 Chronicles 23:30; NLT).

1. Every morning, when I wake,
I praise you, Lord, my God, within,
Asking you to keep me safe,
And to protect me from all sin.

2. Every day, when I go out
I worship you in all I see,
Glimpsing you, Lord, in creation:
One with all, including me.

3. Every night, when I lie down,
I thank you for your constant love,
Trusting in your only Son,
Who brings salvation through his blood.
