Each morning and evening they stood before the Lord
to sing songs of thanks and praise to him.
(1 Chronicles 23:30; NLT).
1. Every morning, when I wake,
I praise you, Lord, my God, within,
Asking you to keep me safe,
And to protect me from all sin.
2. Every day, when I go out
I worship you in all I see,
Glimpsing you, Lord, in creation:
One with all, including me.
3. Every night, when I lie down,
I thank you for your constant love,
Trusting in your only Son,
Who brings salvation through his blood.
1. When I wake up, you are still with me (Psalm 139:18; NLT).
You are the temple of the living God (2 Corinthians 6:16; NLT).
Keep your servant from deliberate sins (Psalm 19:13; NLT).
2. You will go out with joy (Isaiah 55:12; NET).
You must worship the Lord your God (Luke 4:8; NLT).
There is […] one God and Father, who is over all and in all and living through all (Ephesians 4:5-6; NLT).
Whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit (1 Corinthians 6:17; NIV).
3. In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe (Psalm 4:8; NLT).
God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16; NLT).
Trust in God and trust also in me (John 14:1; NLT).
We have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ (Romans 5:9; NLT).
