In the end

We have refused to seek mercy from the Lord our God
by turning from our sins and recognising his truth
(Daniel 9:13; NLT).

He alone is your God, the only one who is worthy of your praise
(Deuteronomy 10:21; NLT).

1. Lord,
In the end,
Though we refuse to see,
You are the only one
Who sets us free.

2. Lord,
In the end,
Though we complain and sigh,
You are the only one
Who hears each cry.

3. Lord,
In the end,
Though we resist and test,
You are the only one
Who gives us rest.

4. Lord,
In the end,
Though we reject your creed,
You are the only one
Who meets each need.

5. Lord,
In the end,
Though we dismiss and spurn,
You are the One
To whom we must return.
