May I live in you

Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them
(1 John 4:16; NIV).

1. Father,
May I live in you,
Following your Son
Along the way.

2. Father,
May I trust in you,
Praying in your Spirit
Every day.

3. Father,
May I hide in you,
Rejoicing in your presence
And your peace.

4. Father,
May I rest in you,
Knowing we are one, Lord,
Without cease.

  • Excellent poem/prayer Ruth. I personally used it as a prayer. It has the very essence of trusting God within it. Thank you for this gem my sister, God bless you richly.

    • Thank you so much, Alan. How are you today? I’m in Cardiology, handing back my 3-day heart monitor, then off to the Pain Clinic for my three-monthly treatment, which is incredibly painful. First dose of morphine at 10.15, treatment starts at 10.30! Thinking of you xxxxxxx

      • I am blessed today Ruth, I seem to get a little better each day. I still have tiredness in little bouts along with pain in my leg. But I trust Him to guide me in this Marathon and get me across the finish line in His time. I will be praying for you today at the hospital, and especially the pain clinic. May our Father God cover you in His Peace and reassure you of His presence in the clinics today. Amen.

      • I’m so glad to hear that you’re a little better each day, Alan. He is, indeed guiding you, and suffering with you. I’m in a lot of pain right now, so I won’t try to write any more, but huge thanks for your support and prayers XXXXX
