God is the fire

Image: Francisco de Zurbarán, Yandex

1. God is the fire
That blazes in darkness.
God is the lamp
That lights up the way.

2. God is the voice
That whispers in silence.
God is the truth
That goes out each day.

3. God is the peace
That settles in stillness.
God is the friend
That shares every loss.

4. God is the hope
That lives on forever.
God is the love
That died on the cross.

      • It is a pleasure to encourage my brethren in Christ, it gives me genuine joy in my heart Ruth. And of course it is completely Biblical to share blessings, just as our Lord shared the bread and fish on the hillside. May you have many blessings from our Father today Ruth.

      • You are so right, Alan, though I’m struggling at present because I’ve been so hurt by someone I really trusted. God is blessing me right now with a piece of writing that just fell upon me this morning and filled my heart. Sometimes I’m really shocked by what happens, and have been known to hide from him under my duvet! I will post this new piece tomorrow, with a heart singing with joy. Keep praying, and all will be well, my friend. God blesses us all, in every adversity XXXXX
