1. Darkness is as beautiful as light,
For you are present;
2. Solitude, as welcome as a friend,
For you are near.
3. Silence is as intimate as speech,
For you are with us;
4. Stillness, as dynamic, Lord, as dance,
For you are here.

As soon as I read this Psalm 139 jumped out of my memory. It reminds me a thought I had: “never play “hide and seek” with the Almighty…He will always win!” As you say so well, why dread His presence but instead enjoy it. Thank you for this beautiful devotion this morning my dear sister.
I’m delighted that this little poem spoke to you, Alan. It wasn’t even the one I intended to be published – I just couldn’t get that one to go. But God always knows best! Have a blessed day XXXX
