With you

1. With you, night is as radiant
As sunshine,
And suffering as fruitful, Lord,
As health.

2. Silence is as lyrical
As singing,
And poverty as priceless, Lord,
As wealth.

3. Weakness is as powerful
As vigour,
And bad events as treasured, Lord,
As good;

4. Whilst heartbreak is as valuable
As rapture –
But nothing is as precious, Lord,
As love.

  • Completely amazing poem Ruth, you never fail to blow me away with your beautifully crafted poems. How blessed we are in Him, under a myriad of blessings. A veritable rainbow over our life. God bless you precious sister.

    • I’m laughing, because these prayers reflect no merit of mine at all, Alan, I assure you. All I do is work to get them to say what God showed me. He pretty well always gives me the central theme, and first few lines immediately, then the rest comes more slowly as I labour, sometimes painfully, over it!! Are you being affected by the massive changes in how WordPress works? To my great dismay, mine changed out of all recognition late yesterday evening. I’ve got some prepared blogs in reserve, but right now I don’t know how to prepare new posts, or how to find and attach photos. If you have all this taped, I’d be most grateful for any help you can give me. Praying for you XXXXX

      • Well, that’s amazing. You are very fortunate. For whatever reason, it’s clearly important that I have to grips with this big loss, and try to embrace the change with new learning! XXXX

      • Have just had a longish session with my amazing WordPress teacher. I’ve bought a business plan to get over the problem. If you see changes and want to discuss them, I’ll do my best to help XXXXX
