Open our eyes

Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine,
you did for me (Matthew 25:40; NIV).

Lord,

1. Open our eyes,
So we see your face
In all we greet.

2. Open our minds,
So we know your pain
In those we meet.

3. Open our hearts,
So we share your love
With all mankind.

4. Open our souls,
So we cease, at last, Lord,
To be blind.

  • Amen a beautiful disciple’s prayer that we should all pray every day.
Ptaying for you today Ruth, that your procedure goes smoothly with the least amount of pain and nausea. May Father God be with you throughout the day and bring you peace.

    • Thank you so much for your encouragement and your prayers, Alan. I’m home, quite sedated, writing slowly after a long sleep. The morphine makes me feel rather nauseous, but your message shows me that you knew that already. Thank you so much for your prayers – I always find it hard to accept it when others pray for me, but I am very grateful. How is your own day going? XXXXX

      • You will be relieved to be in your own surroundings Ruth, which is good. I have some idea of such treatments having had close friends in a similar situation some time ago. Rest easy sister.
My day has been quite fruitful thanks to being pain free today, I am catching up on my notes eventually. I have to start thinking of tomorrow’s blog soon though. God bless you Ruth.

      • I’m delighted that you are pain-free today, Alan, giving you a lot more freedom to catch up with yourself. I’m a fixture in my reclining chair, complete with quilt and cat. Tried really hard to avoid more morphine, but I had to take more a couple of hours ago. John is a very good nurse xxxxxx

      • It seems my reply to this has disappeared into the ethernet. Take two then, haha. You are very welcome to my wee prayers sister, rest easy now that you are home. Today has been a good day for me thankfully, hence I have been able to catch up on my Bible reading notes. God bless sister.
