Pray all the time (1 Thessalonians 5:17; MSG).
1. The Lord is always very near —
It’s prayer that brings me
Close to him.
2. He’s always ready to forgive —
It’s prayer that shows me
All my sin.
3. He always waits for me to ask —
It’s prayer that opens up
4. He’s always pouring out his love —
It’s prayer that makes me
Love him more.
1. The Lord is near to all who call on him (Psalm 145:18; NIV).
2. O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive (Psalm 86:5; NLT).
I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me (Psalm 51:3; NIV).
3. The Lord must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion (Isaiah 30:18; NLT).
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me (Revelation 3:20; NIV).
4. Each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me (Psalm 42:8; NLT).
I love you, Lord (Psalm 18:1; NLT).

A beautiful confirmation of a basic truth, that without prayer we are cast adrift like a boat at the mercies of life’s currents. In prayer we are anchored in Him, steadfast against life’s currents. Thank you for this Ruth.
Thank you, Alan. Please forgive me for not writing more. I’m just not keeping up with everything at present xxxxx
No problem Ruth, I understand you have things going on other than WordPress sister. Keep warm and stay safe. May our Father God bless you and sustain you.
Thank you so much for your understanding, Alan. I had a significant discussion with my oncologist yesterday, and will probably soon be going on to very painful monthly injections for the foreseeable future. Very drained today. Just waiting for a sciatica treatment. I’m praying for you, as always xxxxx
Bless you sister, you are in my prayers too. Now I can pray specifically for you.
Oh, I’m so grateful for your prayers, Alan. The oncologist rang again today to say that that I’m not suitable for the injections after all, so the jury is still out on the best cancer treatment for me. It should be sorted within the next month, though. If you really want to pray for me, please pray that I will cope with my MRI scan on the 19th of November. I’m severely claustrophobic, so it’s very touch and go as to whether I will cope XXXXXX
