Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed
(Luke 5:16; NIV).
1. I seek you, Lord, in darkness,
The birthplace of your light.
This is where I want to pray with you
Throughout each night.
2. I seek you in the mountains,
The bedrock of your faith.
This is where I want to pray with you
And grow in grace.
3. I seek you in the desert,
The wellspring of your peace.
This is where I want to pray with you
And never cease.
4. I seek you in my mind and heart,
My soul, my bones, my blood.
This is where I want to pray with you,
And learn to love.
