1. To pray
Is to live in the Lord,
Day and night.
2. To pray
Is to serve him
And scatter his light.
3. To pray
Is to love all,
Like Jesus, his Son.
4. To pray
Is to join with his Spirit,
As one.

Prayer, communion with God has taught me so much in my life about Him. Through it I have discovered love and trust, and what a real Father is. Where once there was suspicion and coldness there is now His Spirit, leading me in the way of His compassion. Thank you for this prayer Ruth, God bless you sister.
Just found this C.S. Lewis quote about prayer:
“I pray because I can’t help myself. I pray because I am helpless.
Spot on!! XXX
“I pray because the need flows out of me all the time – walking and sleeping. It doesn’t change God – it changes me.”
What a lovely comment, Alan. I’m so glad this little piece has touched you. I do hope you will both have a manageable day XXXXXX
Reading your post AND Alan’s comments is like getting two for the price of one. Maybe this is a good picture of prayer. When we bring everything before God He adds His blessings too it, and two become one! Blessings.
What a wonderful idea in your last sentence, David! XXX
To pray is not an option but a command from heaven, in order to become more like Jesus, and give him the glory and thanks he deserves…
Thank you so much for your comment. May God bless you XXXX
