It really doesn’t matter

✝️

Christ is all that matters (Colossians 3:11; NLT).

1. It really doesn’t matter, Lord,
What else I do today,
As long as I try hard
To follow you,
And to obey.

2. It really doesn’t matter, Lord,
What else I do today,
As long as I love you
In all I meet
Along the way.

3. It really doesn’t matter, Lord,
What else I do today,
As long as I serve you
In thought and deed,
And all I say.

4. It really doesn’t matter, Lord,
What else I do today,
As long as I remain in you,
Rejoice, give thanks,
And pray.

  • Wow! I love this simplifying of life Ruth, it takes anxiety and worry out of the picture cimpletely. I certainly need this every day. Thank you precious sister. May you have a painless and peaceful day as He showers you with His blessings.

  • Amen, Ruth. First things FIRST. I will abide in Christ today, and THEN I will go about my business—whatever that may be.
Thank you for your faithfulness to your writing ministry. I’ve never read one of your poems that was not a blessing.

    • Kindest of men – don’t thank me: thank God, who gives all these prayers. I started something new I read about a few weeks ago: as soon as I wake, I say “Good morning, Jesus”. I can’t remember now who suggested it, but it’s a very good habit! xxxxx

  • I stand corrected. Thank you God for using your servant Ruth.
“Good morning, Jesus.” I like it!
I like to say “This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.”
