🧡

1. In silence, Lord,
I hear your voice.

2. In darkness,
I behold your face.

3. In solitude,
I walk with you.

4. In stillness,
I receive your grace.

    • Thank you so much for these kind words of encouragement, Alan. I’ve just been praying for you and Susan. God is giving me a precious new prayer for the first time for quite a few days. He is so kind. Put all your faith, trust, and hope in him. Whatever happens, he is with you both, and will never leave you, even when you can’t feel his presence at all. And always remember that when you feel totally alone, this is the time when he is the very closest to us of all. Many blessings, from your sister in Christ, Ruth XXX

    • Thank you so much, Alan, and thank you for your email, which I will answer later on today. May God bless you both at this very significant and challenging time XXXX

  • My wife and I also join in our prayers with Alan at this time—he sent me a message yesterday.

Your thoughts today brought to mind the words of Rumi, the Persian philosopher:
    “Darkness is your candle.”

Rumi wasn’t a Christian (he was Muslim), but he is right.

    Blessings!

    • You are so right, David. Before I received your message, I had already started writing about this very topic today. It’s a real challenge to express it, but I’m glad to be writing, as it’s the first inspiration I’ve had for quite a few days. Meanwhile, I’m so glad you’re praying for Susan and Alan as well – it’s good to know we are sharing this undertaking XXXXXX
