Through Christ’s eyes

💙

It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me
(Galatians 2:20; NLT).

1. Let’s see the world
Through Christ’s own eyes,

2. Observe our thinking
With his mind;

3. Treat everyone
With his great love,

4. And grow like him,
For he is kind.

5. Let’s speak each word
With Christ’s pure truth,

6. Confront our fears
With his strong faith;

7. Approach our death
With his deep trust,

8. Then rest, at last,
In his embrace.

Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us
(Colossians 3:11; NLT).

  • I love it when your devotional poems takes me back to the foundations of my faith! Galatians 2:20 and the chorus based on it remind me of the night I surrendered my life to Christ. It is so important that our surrender to Christ is total, such that we reflect only Him to other folk. In our Holy Spirit filled life people see Christ alive and loving them. In this we are His lights in a dark world leading others to life in Him. Thank you and God bless you Ruth.

    • Thank you so much for your amazing comments, Alan. I fully agree that us Christians are really the only bright spark in what is becoming an increasingly dark world. Very sad and concerned tonight about events in America. XXXXXX

      • Trump told his supporters to storm the Capitol, to prevent the transfer of power to Biden.. They did. Some have got into the debating chamber and offices. There are hundreds outside, surrounding the building. A woman was shot, and has just died. The national guard is there now, showing great restraint so far, but the situation is completely chaotic… XxxxX

      • I went to the BBC news page after your post…it is completely crazy scary. A strong historical resemblance to the Reichstag in 1933 Germany.
