Touch (for A.K.)

1. Touch my body,
Bind each wound,
For I am faint,
My strength, consumed.

2. Touch my mind,
Correct each thought,
Until I realise
I am naught.

3. Touch my heart,
Yoke me to good,
And fill me with
Your perfect love.

4. Touch my soul,
Make me like Christ
Your Son –
A living sacrifice.

So, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice (Romans 12:1; NLT).

  • As usual your timing is perfect Ruth, today is a tough day. From last night my progress has been wiped out by new pain etc. To rise late from a bad night to read this inspired devotional poem lifts my heart and soul.
My body is definitely “faint” today but I surrender it anyway to Him. My mind, heart and soul are all feeling the strain but I know they are safe in His hands.
I pray that our Almighty Father will send a Holy Spirit embrace today to you Ruth, thank you so much for your faithfulness to the ministry He gave you.

    • Hi, Alan, I’m so sorry to hear about this big set-back, coupled with such a bad night. I’m hoping that you have already contacted your doctor for an opinion, fresh advice, and appropriate help. It’s good to know that today’s prayer brought you a little comfort. Sorry this is only short, but I’m struggling today as well. Back to the hospital tomorrow. God is good. With love from Ruth xxxx
