Sea of hope

Lord,

1. Guide me
In life’s wilderness,

2. And lead me
Through my darkest night.

3. Comfort
And support me, Lord –

4. Please take my hand,
And hold it tight.

5. Bring me to
Your sea of hope,

6. And help me cross
Your waves of light,

7. To reach, at last,
Your perfect love –

8. For all are precious
In your sight.

    • Thank you so much for your lovely encouraging message, Alan. I’ll now immediately read your blog to see the correspondence. May God bless you both today XXXXXX

  • Like a ship disappearing into the horizon, one day my loved ones will say, “There he goes…”
At that same moment, in heaven, Jesus will say, “Here he comes…”

    Blessings.

      • In full disclosure, I first heard this illustration as part of a eulogy. But it fits your poem. Thank you, sister Ruth.

I am still thinking and praying about how to use the story of your accident in a post for the glory of God. With your permission, of course. 🙏❤️

      • Yes, I think I’ve heard it before, too, David. Permission willingly granted to use the story of my accident. Feel free to ask me anything you like, if that might help xxxxxx
