I have learned to be content
whatever the circumstances
(Philippians 4:11; NIV).
1. I am content, Lord,
To dwell in your hands –
Whatever you take,
And whatever you give.
2. I am content
To abide in your hands –
Whatever you ask,
For as long as I live.
3. I am content, Lord,
To die in your hands –
Whatever the suffering,
Right to the end.
4. I am content
To remain in your hands –
My Master, and Friend.
Whether we live or die,
we belong to the Lord
(Romans 14:8; NIV).
1. The life of every living thing is in his hand (Job 12:10; NLT).
The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised (Job 1:21; NIV).
2. Abide in my love (John 15:9; NKJV).
I desire to do your will, my God (Psalm 40:8; NLT).
I will sing to the Lord as long as I live (Psalm 103:33; NLT).
3. I am in your hands – do with me as you think best (Jeremiah 26:14; NLT).
My future is in your hands (Psalm 31:15; NLT).
If we die with him, we will also live with him (2 Timothy 2:11; NLT).
If we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering (Romans 8:17; NLT).
I will praise my God to my last breath! (Psalm 104:33; NLT).
4. Remain in me, and I will remain in you (John 15:4; NLT).
Then we will be with the Lord forever (1 Thessalonians 4:17; NLT).
Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am (John 13:13; KJV).
You are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me (John 15:15; NLT).
Our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God (Romans 5:11; NLT).
