Each of you must repent and turn to God, and be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit

To help you.

To teach you.

Then see, and love, and serve

Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them (Romans 12:9; NLT, my emphasis).
Thank you for this providential prayer Ruth, I began my morning prayers earlier today and found myself led by the Spirit into praying for holiness and repentance. Oh how we all need to repent before our Holy God! Even “Good people” are stained by sin, we must cleanse ourselves before we can draw near to Him. But how beautiful it is how you highlight the positive ending Ruth! We repent and surrender to Him, He responds by filling us with His Holy Spirit, cheering us and encouraging us in Him. Hallelujah!
May our Father surround you and fill you with His Spirit today Ruth.
I’m so glad this prayer rang bells for you, Alan. That’s what I pray for each day – that someone, somewhere will be helped. Struggling with pain and fatigue on the 3rd day of a really bad migraine. It hasn’t responded to any drugs xxxxx
