There is […] one God and Father, who is over all and in all and living through all (Ephesians 4:5-6; NLT).
In earth and sky,
May I perceive your presence.
In every face,
May I behold your Son.
In every bird,
May I revere your Spirit –
For you’re in everything,
Most Holy One.
Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God (Psalm 90:2; NIV).
You cheer my day with this beautiful rendering of Celtic Christian meditation, thank you Ruth.
He absolutely is in all things, Amen.
That’s so heart-warming to hear, Alan. I’ve been pouring out my whole mind, heart and soul into a piece of writing since yesterday, and hope to post it as a completed blog tomorrow XXXXXXX
God is in everything, but everything is not God. I am not correcting you, sister Ruth (I know what you meant). But there may be a reader out there who has things turned around. God is love, but love is NOT God.
I pray you receive this in the helpful spirit in which it was intended.
Blessings!
I’m delighted by your directness and honesty, David. Keep your messages coming! It never even crossed my mind that anyone might turn this around through 180 degrees, which is a good point, it I’ve no idea how this possibility could be guarded against in any piece of writing, perhaps especially a short poem.
NB Your magnificent comment on Alan’s blog continues to help and inspire me today. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for your words XXXXX
Thank you, Ruth. May God continue to use your writing to help others. Blessings!
