Pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf
(1 Timothy 2:1; NLT).
Lord,
In prayer,
I often ask you to do things:
To bless, comfort, strengthen
And heal others;
To help me accept
All you send,
Yet still, somehow,
To serve you.
But today, I’m not asking you
To do anything at all;
For I am content
To rest in your presence,
Absorbing your warmth, light
And peace, Lord,
Your truth,
And your love.
This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength” (Isaiah 30:15; NLT).
Amen, sister Ruth. Perhaps there is no answer because God Himself is the answer.
Blessings!

Sometimes just resting in God’s presence is all we need, no matter how dark it may be.
Thanks for that, Alan. If you have the energy, please could you pray for me today? I’m going to the breast cancer clinic for review. As I have deteriorated so much, it could be a significant appointment. Don’t worry if you don’t have time, though. May God bless you both, with love from Ruth xxxxxx
I will be praying soon sister!
Thank you so much, Alan. I really appreciate your prayers. What I really want is some kind of explanation for why I’ve deteriorated so much, though I not hopeful of receiving one. Then I could perhaps either receive treatment, or accept that I’m just going to continue to get worse. Knowing the truth is always best! XXXXXX
